About Us
We cater for students from Pre-School to Grade 7. Senior students in the higher grades attend the Modicademy Learning Hub. We believe in ministering to the heart of the child before teaching the child. If children are settled in their emotions, they perform better. We teach students to love God and to love learning. Modimolle Christian Academy was established in 2015 by Pastor JA Viljoen BA.BD (PTA) and Mrs L Viljoen B.Ed.Dom.Sc (PTA) for the purpose of excellent Christian education.

The vision of MODIMOLLE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY is to equip every child in spirit, soul, body, relationship and finances, by training and educating them to develop their leadership with a strong Christian character.

Laying foundations – empowering nations. Modimolle Christian Academy strives to rear God-fearing, responsible and loyal leaders to guide future generations by laying proper foundations through Christian based education, that will impact the nations with the order of the Kingdom of God.

I am privileged and highly favoured by the Lord to share my experience and expertise at Modimolle Christian Academy.
My love of teaching goes back to when I was a little girl. My parents bought me a blackboard, and I remember how I would have my dolls and teddies lined up so that I could teach them.
Some years later, I found myself teaching my children and their friends around my kitchen table while I was cooking. The group became bigger and bigger. This inspired me to study further. I completed all my academic studies in the UK. My qualifications include: BA Hons Psychology, PGCE / Masters in Education, and FAETC.
I have experience in teaching pre-school to adults, with the bulk of my experience being within primary education. My expertise extends to developing both new and experienced teachers by mentoring on a needs basis.
I have a genuine love for children and the staff who care for them. To be in a school where the ethos is: We Love God, We Love Learning is a wonderful blessing. The priorities at Modicademy are in the right order.

I am married to Johan, and we have two daughters. I studied teaching.
I have taught different grades and subjects over the years.
I taught in Polokwane, Graskop and Hoedspruit.
It is such a great feeling for a teacher to see an old student in a shop that tells people around them that you as a teacher made a difference in their lives.
That is what teaching is all about. Even if you can only change one child’s life, it is worth it.
We moved to Modimolle in 2023. I am very thankful that Lourin and Albert gave me a chance to teach at Modicademy.
